Mr. Kofi Adomakoh is the Director and Head of the Project & Export Development Finance Department at the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) headquartered in Cairo, Egypt. Mr. Adomakoh is responsible for developing and executing bank wide strategies that will culminate in financing projects which have a significant trade and developmental impact across member countries in Africa.
He is a seasoned professional in principal investing and development finance, and he brings over 22 years experience in project and infrastructure finance, deal structuring and credit risk review. Mr. Adomakoh has been instrumental in leading the Bank to develop and finance infrastructure projects in key sectors such as Energy (both renewable and thermal), Transport & Logistics (sea, rail, road and air), Oil & Gas (both up and downstream), in addition to the traditional project finance sectors such as Agro-processing, Mining, Tourism, ICT and Manufacturing projects of green and brownfield type. He also champions the Export Development Initiative for Afreximbank.
He has had an extensive banking career spanning over 22 years with reputable Banking Institutions including Ecobank and Barclays in Ghana where he was Head of Corporate Banking and Executive Director respectively.
Mr. Adomakoh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, majoring in Economics and a Masters degree in Business Administration both from University of Ghana, Legon. He has a passion for photography and horology and is married with 2 children.
