Mr. Souare is a civil engineer coupled with advanced training in transport economics. He holds a wealth of experience in the public transport sector where he worked for more than 20 years, first as a project manager and then as deputy managing director at the Ministry of Transport in Cote d’Ivoire. He then moved on to the World Bank serving the missions in Abidjan and in Burkina Faso.
Mr Souare is currently Manager for the NEPAD – Regional Integration Division at the African Development Bank. Before his appointment as manager, he was Officer-in-Charge for Transport Division II at the African Development Bank covering transport projects in countries located in the northern, eastern and southern Africa in 2013. His experience covers public and urban transport policy, planning and designing of project funding for road, railway, air and maritime sub-sectors. Previously, he was assigned to the Transport Division I covering western and central Africa.
